JTR October-December 2018 Season Report
The second half of the 2018 season at the Jungle Tarpon Reserve was nothing short of incredible. The river came into prime condition just in time for a huge push of adult tarpon to hit the system. After a couple weeks of slightly more difficult fishing, anglers were met with explosive feeding fish throughout much of the river. As with all tarpon fishing there were times of boom and times of bust, and while some days were slightly more challenging overall the second half of the 2018 season proved very eventful. The highlight came at the end as we closed the season with one angler releasing a fish every session (morning and evening, so 2 fish per day) all week only to miss one morning at the end. Thats 1 angler releasing 11 tarpon (to hand, not leader releases) ranging from 40 to well over 100 lbs.
We are busy making preparations for the 2019 season. Many prime weeks are already full, but some still great dates are available throughout. Contact us to make arrangements to come visit our community and jungle to experience tarpon fishing like nowhere else on earth. We would love to have you!
